I’m saved what’s next? What’s the big deal? I don’t feel different. I hear people talk about their relationship with God but there are no rules to follow? How does that happen? Where’s the instructions? Read the Bible? It’s so big it will take forever to finish. There are so many heithers and people begotting each other. Help! This is already too much God! Where do I start?
First of all think of your spiritual life as a journey! You won’t learn everything in a day so don’t try. Here are some helpful hints to get you started.
Consider reading a Proverb a day. Proverbs is considered a book of wisdom. There are 31 Proverbs. You can read the Proverb based on the day of the week. If today is the 3rd, read Proverb 3. If today is the 25th read Proverb 25. That can be what you read to start your day. There are 66 books in the Bible. Start by reading the shortest book like Jude. Read the shortest gospel Mark. Genesis has more twists and turns than a soap opera read that book. Don’t try to read the whole Bible in a day read a few chapters unless you can’t put the Bible down, which is not a bad thing.
...Though we walk in the flesh we do not war against the flesh. For the weapons of warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds. Casting down imaginations and every lofty thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
